Welcome to
Run this Town!

We put on a yearly (for now) trip to a new city where we’ll run together, meet other local runners, experience the city’s cuisine and culture, and give back to the people we meet.

We’ve got new events planned for CDMX 2026, check out last year’s itinerary below to get an idea of what to expect...

What’s a week in CDMX look like?

Thursday

Early birds ran with Dromo from Bello Puerto at sunrise, while the rest rolled in throughout the day. We posted up at Casa Pancha, explored the neighborhood (Condesa, Roma Norte), wandered Chapultepec, and grabbed tacos from local favorites.

That evening, we met as a full group for a 6K social run with Midnight Runners, followed by dinner and drinks at Chinampita Condesa.

Friday

Two morning options: an 11K city / trail run with Dromo (starting from Solovino Café) or a chill 5K jog through Bosque de Chapultepec.

Late morning, we linked up with Club Tengo Hambre for a taco tour that took us deep into CDMX’s street food scene, starting at Palacio de Bellas Artes.

Dinner was casual — most of us were still full — but a few hit up spots like Ciena, Gaba, or Plonk to close out the night.

Saturday

Some got in an early morning shakeout in Chapultepec before our full-day excursion with Casa Pancha to the pyramids — a mix of running, history, and tacos outside the city. Shout out to Alejandro for being the best guide.

Back in CDMX, we showered, grabbed a quick bite, then watched the Lions playoff game over wings and beers at Criminal Wings Condesa.

Sunday

We started the morning running down Paseo de la Reforma, which closes to traffic on Sundays — letting us join hundreds of runners and cyclists cruising the empty streets.

Later, we split up: some explored markets, downtown, or the zoo, while others got tattoos from local artists Mariano and Erika in a cozy, light-filled studio. We laughed, danced, and hung out while friends got inked — one of the most memorable moments of the trip.

That evening, we came back together for dinner at Pizza Felix.

Monday

We woke up with the sun and took the cable buses up into the hills above the city, where we ran and hiked scenic trails all the way back down into CDMX.

Our route ended at Metta Running — maybe the coolest running store on the planet — where we sipped coffee, shopped gear, and grabbed a well-earned breakfast.

We wrapped the trip with a final group dinner at Fideo Gordo. Some called it an early night, others grabbed one last drink out in Roma Norte or Condesa. A perfect close to a wild, beautiful week.

Tuesday

For those of us who didn’t fly out before sunrise, we laced up one last time and joined the Metta Running crew for a final group run through the city. Then it was time to pack bags, say our goodbyes, and head home — legs tired, hearts full, already thinking about the next adventure.

BUT I HAVE QUESTIONS!

We figured. If we didn't answer your question below, shoot us an email at hello@runthistown.co!

Who is behind Run this Town?

Why Mexico City?

Can I bring a friend? Can I come along if I don’t know anyone else going?

Do I have to do everything with the group?

Do I have to run? Can I walk?

Will there be a deposit required?

When do I need to sign up by?

I love Mexico City! I have some suggestions of places to run/eat/etc. Any interest in my input?

I can’t take quite this much time off of work. Can I come for just a few days?

Do you have any experience with Mexico City/travel abroad?

What am I in charge of booking before the trip?

How much could I expect to spend on flights? Lodging? Food?

Where will we be staying?

Any other exciting items you can tell us about?
